Transformer's CLI lets you run an influencer campaign from the terminal: search creators on X, send offers, track each creator's post, clicks and sales, and get creators paid when their post is verified. Install it with curl -fsSL https://transformer.gg/install | sh, run transformer login with a workspace API key, and every command is a single REST call, with --json for scripts, CI jobs and AI agents. It needs Node 18 or later.
Why use a CLI for influencer marketing?
- Scriptable: send offers to a list of creators from a CSV, or report conversions from your backend, without clicking through a dashboard.
- Agent-friendly: coding agents such as Claude Code can run the same commands;
--jsongives them structured output. - Repeatable: keep the commands for a campaign in a script and rerun them for the next round.
- Same rules as the dashboard: sending is free, you pay when a creator accepts, creators post only after you've paid, and payments are held until each post is verified.
Install and sign in
curl -fsSL https://transformer.gg/install | sh && transformer login
transformer login stores a workspace API key (it starts with tf_live_) in ~/.config/transformer/config.json; you can also set TRANSFORMER_API_KEY. A key acts for exactly one brand or creator workspace. Create one on your workspace page after you sign up.
A campaign, start to finish (brand)
# 1. Find creators on X by niche, size and engagement
transformer creators search "postgres" --niche devtools --min-followers 5000 --sort engagement
# 2. Send an offer: one X post, your link, the price and a short ask (--brief)
transformer offers create --creator @alice --url https://acme.example/queue --payout 125 \
--brief "Try Acme Queue's scheduled jobs and say what you think"
# 3. When the creator accepts, pay within 72 hours: balance first, then a checkout link (card or US bank account)
transformer pay <offer-id> # or `transformer pay` alone: every accepted offer waiting for payment
# 4. Track results per creator
transformer stats <offer-id>
# 5. Report a sale from your backend with the click id
transformer conversions report --click <tf_click> --amount 49 --order A-1001
Acme Queue and the handles are placeholders. The price is what you pay; the creator receives 80%.
Suggested creators and sending to several creators
The fastest way to pick creators is the brand dashboard, or an agent over MCP: paste your website and Transformer suggests X creators with a reason and a suggested price for each (suggestions), writes the asks (write_asks) and sends several offers at once (send_offers, or POST /api/v1/offers/batch over REST); you pay for the ones creators accept (pay_offers). See Run an influencer campaign from an AI agent.
For creators
transformer offers list # offers you received
transformer offers accept <offer-id>
transformer submit <offer-id> https://x.com/you/status/… # verify your post
transformer balance # what you've earned (80% of each payout)
transformer payout request --amount 40 # from $10; paid by PayPal or USDC
The CLI never posts for you: you post on X yourself, in your own words with the link and X's Paid partnership label, then submit the URL.
Payment protection from the command line
transformer offers release <offer-id> # brand: release the held payment early
transformer offers dispute <offer-id> --reason not_posted --details "…"
Before acceptance a brand can cancel (the money goes back to its Transformer balance); after acceptance, either side can open a dispute, which freezes the payment until an admin releases it or returns it to the brand.

CLI, MCP or REST?
| Best for | |
|---|---|
| CLI | Terminals, shell scripts, CI jobs, coding agents |
| MCP server | AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT, with sign-in (OAuth) instead of a key |
| REST API | Your own backend, under /api/v1 |
All three do the same things with the same rules. See Run an influencer campaign from an AI agent.
Transformer is the agentic influencer marketplace: real creators, paid on verified posts. Run it from the dashboard or from your agent.
FAQ
Is there a CLI for influencer marketing?
Yes. Transformer's CLI runs paid partnerships on X from the terminal: search creators, send offers, pay for accepted ones, track posts, clicks and sales, and handle payouts. Install it with curl -fsSL https://transformer.gg/install | sh.
How do I install the Transformer CLI?
Run curl -fsSL https://transformer.gg/install | sh, then transformer login with a workspace API key. It needs Node 18 or later.
Can an AI agent use the CLI?
Yes. Every command is one REST call and --json returns structured output, so coding agents can run it. Assistants that support MCP can also connect to Transformer's MCP server with sign-in.
Does the CLI post to X for me?
No. Creators post on X themselves, in their own words with the tracked link and X's Paid partnership label, then submit the post URL with transformer submit.
How are creators paid when using the CLI?
The same as in the dashboard: the brand pays when the creator accepts and before they post, the payment is held, and it's released when the post is verified on X. Creators keep 80%; payouts are by PayPal or USDC, from $10.
